lyrics

So go to war for your country go and die kill the hungry coming home to no job or no money
you've been lied to despised played the dumb shown a dream that most can't afford 1984
So go to war for your country go and die kill the hungry coming home to no job or no money
you've been lied to despised played the dumb shown a dream that most can't afford 1984

Abdul the oldest of 4 and for his family he wanted to do more bright child gentle soul house hold the working poor
he explored several options to enhance his finance college was there needed student loans summer jobs not a chance
glanced at the army brochure unsure of future thinking war is nothing more than a first person shooter game
he took the test and placed in infantry all he sees is benefits income college degree and wanted to be a fighter pilot
now hes dodging metal objects in Afghanistan the land resembles the death of man or the moon full of craters mortar shells
from foreign invaders front line where the risk of peril much greater if you could savior the stench of death charred flesh
gunpowder chipped at his psyche his soul devoured cowardice replaced the bravery say its bout freedom today it seems
they guarding resources armed forces are mercenaries deception buried with civilians witness women men and children vaporized
women raped blood covered eyes babies crying from rubble of buildings thats bombed out keep it under raps general public can't find out
savagery anatomy on display and daily friendly fire sends a flagged casket away and dog tags racial epithets from said comrades
I body bagged a couple of sand niggas Allah couldn't fix depleted uranium adds to the picture
concealed his feelings in the barracks next to family pictures and letters get home safe his homie jake when AWOL watching men in droved turn to pillars of salt
slight torture but the final insult he caught a bullet in the lung from a private contracted gun overhauled the operation escaping war home from his first tour
night shakes sweat rushing daily out his pours clinically depressed no job a flash of faces who died his nerves were through he had to be 302ed
labeled disabled the SSI will have to do in a search of stability gain despair and the agony recall the tragedy
